Compensation after unfair dismissal through UKAPE legal assistance – member receives additional payment and apology
A member who had worked for his employer for over 30 years was made redundant at only a few days notice. There was no consultation and the employer at first refused to discuss this with us.
The local full time officer, demanded a meeting with the local management, who still refused to make any significant concessions. We then met the National Personnel Manager and obtained an additional payment of £4,500 and a letter of apology.
